Ḥadīth 1

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَکْرٍ عَنْ زَکَرِیَّا بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِیزِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِیُّ ص قَالَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ مَنْ أَذْنَبَ ذَنْباً فَعَلِمَ أَنَّ لِی أَنْ أُعَذِّبَهُ وَ أَنَّ لِی أَنْ أَعْفُوَ عَنْهُ عَفَوْتُ.

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “The Almighty Allah has said that one who commits a sin thinking that He (Allah) has the choice to either forgive or punish him, He will forgive that person.”
