Reward of speaking truth

Ḥadīth 1

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِیٍّ مَاجِیلَوَیْهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ یَحْیَی الْعَطَّارِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِیسَی عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِیسَی عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَقُولُ إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إِذَا صَدَقَ کَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ یُصَدِّقُهُ اللَّهُ وَ نَفْسُهُ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ صَادِقٌ وَ إِذَا کَذَبَ کَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ یُکَذِّبُهُ اللَّهُ وَ نَفْسُهُ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ کَاذِبٌ.

1. It is narrated that Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “One who speaks truth, first Allah testifies to his words and he considers himself truthful. One who lies, first Allah falsifies his words and that person himself knows that he is a liar.”
