Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl


Book 2, Chapter 318

Reward of meeting a believer to make him happy
1 Ḥadīth

وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ نَضْرِ بْنِ وَکِیعٍ عَنِ الرَّبِیعِ بْنِ صَبِیحٍ رَفَعَ الْحَدِیثَ إِلَی النَّبِیِّ ص قَالَ: مَنْ لَقِیَ أَخَاهُ بِمَا یَسُرُّهُ سَرَّهُ اللَّهُ یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَهِ وَ مَنْ لَقِیَ أَخَاهُ بِمَا یَسُوؤُهُ لِیَسُوءَهُ سَاءَهُ اللَّهُ یَوْمَ یَلْقَاهُ.


1. And from the previous chain from Muhammad b. Ahmad from Ahmad b. Muhammad from Nadhar b. Wakee’ from al-Rabee’ b. Sabeeh who raised this narration to The Prophet (s.a.w.s.) who said: “One who meets a believer to please him, Allah will make the former happy on the Day of Judgment. One who meets a believer to make him sad, Allah will make the former sad on the Day of Judgment.”
