Reward of safeguarding the honor of people and controlling one’s anger

Ḥadīth 1

أَبِی ره عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَیْفٍ عَنْ أَخِیهِ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِی حَمْزَهَ الثُّمَالِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ یَقُولُ مَنْ کَفَّ نَفْسَهُ عَنْ أَعْرَاضِ النَّاسِ کَفَّ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَذَابَ یَوْمِ الْقِیَامَهِ وَ مَنْ کَفَّ غَضَبَهُ عَنِ النَّاسِ أَقَالَهُ اللَّهُ نَفْسَهُ یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَهِ.

1. Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) said, “One who does not dishonors people, the Almighty Allah will not reveal His chastisement on the Day of Judgment and one who does not gets angry with others, the Almighty Allah will ignore his sins on the Day of Judgment.”

Ḥadīth 2

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِیلَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنْ سَیْفِ بْنِ عَمِیرَهَ عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ یَقُولُ مَنْ کَفَّ غَضَبَهُ سَتَرَ اللَّهُ عَوْرَتَهُ.

2. It is narrated that Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “Allah will hide the faults of one who controls his anger.”
