Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl > Reward of condoning a loanee for the sake of Allah’s Respect
Hadith #1

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِیمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ دُرُسْتَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِیدِ الطَّائِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی الْحَسَنِ الْأَوَّلِ ع قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِیُّ ص مَنْ قَدَّمَ غَرِیماً إِلَی السُّلْطَانِ یَسْتَحْلِفُهُ وَ هُوَ یَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ یَحْلِفُ ثُمَّ تَرَکَهُ تَعْظِیماً لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لَمْ یَرْضَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِمَنْزِلَهٍ یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَهِ إِلَّا مَنْزِلَهَ إِبْرَاهِیمَ خَلِیلِ الرَّحْمَنِ.

1. Imam Musa Kadhim (a.s.) narrates that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “One who takes a loanee to a ruler and he knows that he has taken a false oath; but due to the sake of the respect of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, he condones the loanee, Allah would not be satisfied with nothing less than giving him the position of Ibrahim, the friend of the Beneficent.”
