مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( صلوات الله عليه ) الْمَاءُ سَيِّدُ الشَّرَابِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ .عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ .
1. Muhammad ibn Yahya Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Bakr ibn Salih from ‘Isa ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Umar ibn Ali from his father from his grandfather who has said the following: “’Amir al-Mu’minin, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘Water is the master of drinks in this world and in the next world.’” A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah al-Barqiy from Muhammad ibn Ali from ‘Isa ibn ‘Abd Allah through the chain of his narrators has narrated a similar Hadith.
أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ جَمِيعاً عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ وَ ذَكَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْنَا مِنَ الْآبَاءِ وَ الْأُمَّهَاتِ وَ الْمَاءِ الْبَارِدِ .
2. Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar and Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad all from ibn Faddal from Tha’labah ibn Maymun from ‘Ubayd ibn Zurarah who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, saying, upon mentioning the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, ‘O Lord, You know that he (the Messenger of Allah) is more beloved to us than (our) fathers and mothers and cool water.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنْ سَعْدَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ أَوَّلُ مَا يَسْأَلُ اللَّهُ جَلَّ ذِكْرُهُ الْعَبْدَ أَنْ يَقُولَ لَهُ أَ وَ لَمْ أُرْوِكَ مِنْ عَذْبِ الْفُرَاتِ .
3. Muhammad ibn Yahya and more than one person has narrated from al-‘ Abbas ibn Ma‘ruf from Sa‘dan ibn Muslim from ‘Abd al- Rahman ibn al-Hajj aj who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘The first thing that Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, will ask the servants will be, ‘Did I not quench your thirst with sweet water of al-Furat?”’
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الرَّيَّانِ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ يَرْفَعُهُ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) سَيِّدُ شَرَابِ الْجَنَّةِ الْمَاءُ .
4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from Ali ibn al-Rayyan ibn al-Salt in a marfu ‘ manner who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘The master of the drink in paradise is water.’”
عَنْهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) الْمَاءُ سَيِّدُ الشَّرَابِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ .
5. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Muhammad ibn Ali from ‘Isa ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Umar ibn Ali from his father from his grandfather who has said the following: “’Amir al-Mu’minin, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘Water is the master of drinks in this world and in the next world.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَمَّنْ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ تَلَذَّذَ بِالْمَاءِ فِي الدُّنْيَا لَذَّذَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مِنْ أَشْرِبَةِ الْجَنَّةِ .
6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ya‘qub ibn Yazid from ibn Faddal from those who narrated to him who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘If one enjoys and appreciates the taste of water in this world Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, will give him water in paradise.’”
أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْكُوفِيُّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْمِيثَمِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ بْنِ بُنْدَارَ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عُلْوَانَ قَالَ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ طَعْمِ الْمَاءِ فَقَالَ سَلْ تَفَقُّهاً وَ لَا تَسْأَلْ تَعَنُّتاً طَعْمُ الْمَاءِ طَعْمُ الْحَيَاةِ .
7. Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Kufiy has narrated from Ali ibn al-Hassan al-Mithamiy from Ali ibn Asbat from ‘Abd al-Samad ibn Bandar from al-Husayn ibn ‘Ulwan who has said the following: “Once, a man asked abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about the taste of water. He (the Imam) said, ‘Ask to understand not to harass. The taste of water is the taste of life.’”
