عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ كَلْبِ الْمَجُوسِيِّ يَأْخُذُهُ الرَّجُلُ الْمُسْلِمُ فَيُسَمِّي حِينَ يُرْسِلُهُ أَ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّا أَمْسَكَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ لِأَنَّهُ مُكَلَّبٌ قَدْ ذَكَرَ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn Salim from Sulayman ibn Khalid who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about the dog that belongs to a Zoroastrian person; if a Muslim person can take and send it to catch a prey and mentions the name of Allah and if he can use the hunt for food. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, because it is trained and he has mentioned the name of Allah.”’ 

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ يُونُسَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَيَابَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِنِّي أَسْتَعِيرُ كَلْبَ الْمَجُوسِيِّ فَأَصِيدُ بِهِ فَقَالَ ( عليه السلام ) لَا تَأْكُلْ مِنْ صَيْدِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ عَلَّمَهُ مُسْلِمٌ فَتَعَلَّمَهُ .

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Mansur ibn Yunus from ‘Abd al- Rahman ibn Siyabah who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about my borrowing the dog of a Zoroastrian person for hunting. He (the Imam) said, ‘Do not use it for food unless a Muslim has trained it and it has learned.’” 

عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ كَلْبُ الْمَجُوسِيِّ لَا تَأْكُلْ صَيْدَهُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَأْخُذَهُ الْمُسْلِمُ فَيُعَلِّمَهُ وَ يُرْسِلَهُ وَ كَذَلِكَ الْبَازِي وَ كِلَابُ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ وَ بُزَاتُهُمْ حَلَالٌ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ أَنْ يَأْكُلُوا صَيْدَهَا .

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Do not use for food what the dog of a Zoroastrian person hunts, unless a Muslim has taken it to train and sends it to hunt. This applies to what the dogs of taxpayers and their falcons hunt, thus, it is lawful for the Muslims to use for food.’”
