حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْعَطَّارُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: أُهْدِيَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص والجوج‏ [دانجوج‏] فِيهِ حَبٌّ مُخْتَلِطٌ فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص يُلْقِي إِلَى عَلِيٍّ حَبَّةً وَ حَبَّةً وَ يَسْأَلُهُ أَيُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ هَذَا وَ جَعَلَ عَلِيٌّ يُخْبِرُهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أَمَا إِنَّ جَبْرَئِيلَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَّمَكَ اسْمَ كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ كَمَا عَلَّمَ آدَمَ الْأَسْماءَ كُلَّها.


1. Preliminary Ahadeeth It is narrated to us by Abu Al Qaim who said, ‘It is narrated to us by Muhammad Bin Yahya Al Attar who said, ‘It is narrated to us by Muhammad Bin Al Hassan Al Saffar who said, ‘It is narrated to us by Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Nazar Bin Suweyd, from Al Husayn Bin Musa, from Al Husayn Bin Ziyad, from Muhammad Bin Muslim, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.) having said: ‘A basket was gifted to Rasool-Allah (saww) wherein were a mixture of seeds. Rasool-Allah (saww) went on to cast it to Ali (a.s.), a seed, and a seed, and asking him (a.s.): ‘Which thing is this?’ And Ali (a.s.) went on informing him (saww). Rasool-Allah (saww) said: ‘But, Jibraeel (as) has informed me (saww) that Allah (azwj) has Taught you (a.s.) the names of all things, just as And He Taught Adam the names, all of them [2:31]’’.




حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: أُهْدِيَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص حَبُّ فيطر [فَطِيرٍ] مِنَ الْيَمَنِ فَوَضَعَهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا عَلِيُّ مَا هَذِهِ وَ مَا هَذِهِ فَأَخَذَ عَلِيٌّ ع يُجِيبُهُ عَنْ شَيْ‏ءٍ فَقَالَ إِنَّ جَبْرَئِيلَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَّمَكَ الْأَسْمَاءَ كُلَّهَا كَمَا عَلَّمَ آدَمَ ع.


2. It is narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Muslim, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.) having said: ‘A basket of mixed seeds was gifted to Rasool-Allah (saww) from Al-Yemen and placed in front of him (saww). He (saww) said: ‘O Ali (a.s.)! What is this (seed)? And what is this (seed)?’ Ali (a.s.) took it and answered him (saww) about the thing. He (saww) said: ‘Jibraeel (as) informed me (saww) and Allah (azwj) has Taught you (a.s.) the names, all of them, just as He (azwj) had Taught Adam (as)’’.
