He (a.s.) said: ‘As for the Permissible(s) and the Prohibitions, by Allah , Allah has Revealed unto His Prophet (saww) with its perfection, and the Imam (a.s.) does not get increased regarding the Permissible(s) and the Prohibitions’. He (the narrator) said, ‘I said, ‘So, what is this increase?’ He (a.s.) said: ‘Regarding the rest of the things besides the Permissible(s) and the Prohibitions’. He (the narrator) said, ‘I said, ‘So, do you (Imams (a.s.)) get increased with things which were hidden from Rasool-Allah (saww)?’ He (a.s.) said: ‘No. But rather the matters come out from the Presence of Allah and the Angels came with it to Rasool-Allah (saww) and says: ‘O Muhammad (saww)! Your (saww) Lord Commands you (saww) with such and such’. He (saww) said: ‘Go with it to Ali (a.s.)’. So he came to Ali (a.s.). He (a.s.) said: ‘Go with it to Al-Hassan (a.s.). He (a.s.) said: ‘Go with it to Al-Husayn (a.s.)’. It did not cease to be like that, going to one after one until it came out to us (a.s.)’. I said, ‘So, are you (a.s.) increased with anything Rasool-Allah (saww) did not know?’ He (a.s.) said: ‘Woe be unto you! How can it be allowed that the Imam (a.s.) knows anything Rasool-Allah (saww) did not know, and the Imam (a.s.) from his (saww) direction?’’
