It is narrated to us by Ibn Yazeed, from Ahmad Bin Al Hassan Bin Ziyad, from Muhammad Bin Al Hassan Al Maysami, from his father, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.), he (the narrator) said, ‘I heard him (a.s.) saying: ‘Allah Educated His Rasool (saww) until He Established him (saww) upon what He Wanted, the Delegated to him (saww), so He Said: And whatever the Rasool gives you, so take it, and whatever he forbids you from, then refrain [59:7]. So, whatever Allah had Delegated to His Rasool (saww), so He has Delegated it to us (a.s.)’’.

2. It is narrated to us Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from his father, from Abdullah Bin Al Mugheira, from Abdullah Bin Sinan, from Musa Bin Asheym who said, ‘I entered to see Abu Abdullah (a.s.) and asked him (a.s.) about an issue. He (a.s.) answered me. While I was seated, when a man came and asked him (a.s.) about it exactly, but he (a.s.) answered him differently to what he (a.s.) had answered me’. Then another one came and asked him about it exactly, and he (a.s.) answered him differently to what he had answered me and my companion. I was alarmed from that and it was grievous upon me. When the people went out, he (a.s.) looked at me and said: ‘O Ibn Asheym! It is as if you are alarmed?’ I said, ‘May Allah Make me to be sacrificed for you (a.s.)! But rather I panicked from three words regarding one issue’. He (a.s.) said: ‘O Ibn Asheym! Allah Authorised to Dawood (as) the affairs of His Kingdom: This is Our Gift, so either confer or withhold, without a Reckoning [38:39]. And He Authorised the matters of His Religion to Muhammad (saww). He (saww) Said: And whatever the Rasool gives you, so take it, and whatever he forbids you from, then refrain [59:7]. Allah Blessed and Exalted Authorised to the Imams (a.s.) from us (a.s.), and to us (a.s.) is whatever He had Authorised to Muhammad (saww), so do not be alarmed’’.

3. It is narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Ahwazy, from one of our companions, from Ibn Umeyra, from al Sumali who said, ‘I heard Abu Ja’far (a.s.) saying: ‘One to whom we (a.s.) permit something he attains from the deeds of the unjust ones, so it is Permissible for him, because the Imams (a.s.) from us (a.s.), it is delegated to them (a.s.). 11. It is narrated to us by Abdullah Bin Ja’far, from Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Nazar Bin Suweyd, from Ali Bin Samit, from Udeym Bin Al Hurr, Dueym said, ‘Musa Bin Asheym asked him (a.s.), meaning Abu Abdullah (a.s.), about a Verse in Book of Allah . He (a.s.) informed him with it. He had not departed until another man entered and asked him (a.s.) about that very Verse exactly, and he (a.s.) informed him with different to what he (a.s.) had informed him. Ibn Asheym said, ‘Something entered me from that what Allah so Desired to the extent that my heart was almost rendered with the knives and I said, ‘I left Abu Qatada at Syria. He did not err regarding one letter the ‘Waaw’, and it’s like, and I have (instead) come to one mistaken with this mistake, all of it’. While I was like that when another one entered to see him (a.s.) and asked him (a.s.) about that very (issue), and he (a.s.) informed him different to what he (a.s.) had informed me, and the one who had asked him (a.s.) after me. There was a flash in me and I came to know that, that was deliberate from him (a.s.), and I discussed within myself with something. Abu Abdullah (a.s.) turned towards me and said: ‘O Ibn Asheym! Do not do such and such’, and he (a.s.) narrated to me of the matter which I had discussed within myself. Then he (a.s.) said: ‘O Ibn Asheym! Allah Delegated to Suleyman (as) Bin Dawood (as), so He Said: ‘This is Our Gift, so either confer or withhold, without a Reckoning [38:39]. And He Delegated to His Prophet (saww), so He Said: And whatever the Rasool gives you, so take it, and whatever he forbids you from, then refrain [59:7]. Whatever He had Delegated to His Prophet (saww), so He has delegated to us (a.s.)’. O Ibn Asheym! So the one who wants Allah to Guide him, He would Expand his chest for Al-Islam, and the one who wants Him to let him stray, He would Straiten his chest with a constriction, [6:125]. Do you know what the constriction is?’ I said, ‘No’. He (a.s.) by his (a.s.) hand and his (a.s.) fingers pressed something: ‘The grip from which nothing can come out from it, nor can anything enter into it’’.

12. It is in the miscellaneous (Chapter) – Muhammad Bin Sinan who said, ‘Abu Abdullah (a.s.) said: ‘No, by Allah ! Allah did not Delegate to anyone from His creatures except to the Rasool (saww) and to the Imams (a.s.). He Said: We Revealed the Book to you with the Truth for you to judge between the people with what Allah Showed you; [4:105], and it flows regarding the successors (a.s.)’’.

13. It is narrated to us by Al Hassan Bin Ali Bin Abdullah, from Ubeys Bin Hisham, from Abdul Samad Bin Bashir, from Abdullah Bin Suleyman, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.), he (the narrator) said, ‘A man asked him (a.s.) about the Imams (a.s.), ‘Does Allah Delegate to him (a.s.) just as He had Delegated to Suleyman (as)?’ He (a.s.) said: ‘Yes’. And that is because a man had asked him about an issue, so he (a.s.) answered regarding it, and another man asked him about that very issue and he (a.s.) replied with an answer other than the first, then another one asked him (a.s.) about it, and he (a.s.) answered with other than the first two answers, then said: This is Our Gift, so either confer or give without a Reckoning [38:39] - and like this it is in the recitation of Ali (a.s.)’. He (the narrator) said, ‘I said, ‘May Allah Keep you well! So when he (a.s.) answered them with these answers, the Imam (a.s.) had recognised them?’ He (a.s.) said: ‘Glory be to Allah ! Have you not heard the Words of Allah the Exalted in His Book: Surely, in that are Signs for the distinguishers [15:75], and they are the Imams (a.s.), And it is on an enduring way [15:76], not coming out from it, ever!’ Then he (a.s.) said: ‘Yes. The Imam (a.s.), when he (a.s.) looks at a man, recognises him (a.s.) and recognises his (a.s.) colour, and if he (a.s.) hears his voice from behind a wall, recognises him and recognises what he is, because Allah is Saying: And from His Signs is the Creation of the skies and the earth and the diversity of your tongues and your colours. Surely there are Signs in that for the learned [30:22]. They (a.s.) are the scholars, and doesn’t hear anything from the tongues except he (a.s.) recognises him whether he is a saved one or a destroyed one. So, due to that, he (a.s.) answers them with that which he (a.s.) answers them with’’.
