حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْغَفَّارِ الْجَازِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع أَنَّهُ قَالَ: إِنِّي لَأَتَكَلَّمُ عَلَى سَبْعِينَ وَجْهاً لِي فِي كُلِّهَا الْمَخْرَجُ.


1. It is narrated to us by Muhammad Bin AL Husayn, from Al Nazar Bin Shuayb, from Abdul Gaffar Al Jazy, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.) having said: ‘I (a.s.) tend to speak upon seventy perspective, there is the way out for me (a.s.) in all of these’’.




حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى بْنِ أَعْيَنَ قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَنْظَلَةَ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فَسَأَلَهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَنْظَلَةَ عَنْ مَسْأَلَةٍ فَأَجَابَ فِيهَا فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ‏ فَإِنْ كَانَ كَذَا وَ كَذَا فَأَجَابَهُ فِيهَا بِوَجْهٍ آخَرَ وَ إِنْ كَانَ كَذَا وَ كَذَا فَأَجَابَهُ بِوَجْهٍ‏ حَتَّى أَجَابَهُ فِيهَا بِأَرْبَعَةِ وُجُوهٍ فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيَّ عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَنْظَلَةَ قَالَ يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ قَدْ أَحْكَمْنَاهُ فَسَمِعَهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ لَا تَقُلْ هَكَذَا يَا أَبَا الْحَسَنِ فَإِنَّكَ رَجُلٌ وَرِعٌ إِنَّ مِنَ الْأَشْيَاءِ أَشْيَاءَ ضَيِّقَةً وَ لَيْسَ تَجْرِي إِلَّا عَلَى وَجْهٍ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهَا وَقْتُ الْجُمُعَةِ لَيْسَ لِوَقْتِهَا إِلَّا وَاحِدٌ حِينَ تَزُولُ الشَّمْسُ وَ مِنَ الْأَشْيَاءِ أَشْيَاءُ مُوَسَّعَةٌ تَجْرِي عَلَى وُجُوهٍ كَثِيرَةٍ وَ هَذَا مِنْهَا وَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ لَهُ عِنْدِي سَبْعِينَ وَجْهاً.


2. It is narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Ali Bin Al Numan, from Ibn Muskan, from Abdul A’ala Bin Ayn who said, ‘I and Ali Bin Hanzala entered to see Abu Abdullah. Ali Bin Hanzala asked him (a.s.) about an issue, and he (a.s.) answered regarding it. A man said, ‘Supposing it was such and such?’ So, he (a.s.) answered him in another perspective. (He said), ‘And if it was such and such?’ He (a.s.) answered him in (another) perspective, to the extent that he (a.s.) answered him with four perspectives. Ali Bin Hanzala turned towards me and said, ‘O Abu Muhammad! We have its judgment’. Abu Abdullah (a.s.) said: ‘Do not speak like this, O Abu Al Hassan, for you are a devout man. From the things there are narrow things, and these cannot flow except upon one perspective. From these is the timing of the Friday (Salat). There isn’t any timing for it except one, when the sun starts to decline (midday). And from the things there are things with leeway, flowing upon many perspectives, and this is from it. By Allah , there are seventy perspectives for it with me (a.s.)’’.




حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ اللُّؤْلُؤِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَ أَبُو بَصِيرٍ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فَبَيْنَا نَحْنُ قُعُودٌ إِذَنْ تَكَلَّمَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع بِحَرْفٍ فَقُلْتُ أَنَا فِي نَفْسِي هَذَا مِمَّا أَحْمِلُهُ إِلَى الشِّيعَةِ هَذَا وَ اللَّهِ حَدِيثٌ لَمْ أَسْمَعْ مِثْلَهُ قَطُّ قَالَ فَنَظَرَ فِي وَجْهِي ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنِّي لَأَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْحَرْفِ الْوَاحِدِ لِي فِيهِ سَبْعُونَ وَجْهاً إِنْ شِئْتُ أَخَذْتُ كَذَا وَ إِنْ شِئْتُ أَخَذْتُ كَذَا.


3. It is narrated to us by Abdullah, from Al hassan Bin Al Husayn Al Luluie, from Ibn Sinan, from Ali Bin Abu Hamza who said, ‘I and Abu Baseer entered to see Abu Abdullah (a.s.). While we were seated when Abu Abdullah (a.s.) spoke a phrase. I said within myself, ‘This is from what I shall carry to the Shias. By Allah ! This is a Hadeeth I have not heard the like of it, at all!’ He (Abu Baseer) said, ‘He (a.s.) looked at my (a.s.) face, then said: ‘I (a.s.) tend to speak with the one phrase, there are seventy perspectives in it for me (a.s.). If I (a.s.) like I (a.s.) can take is as such, and if I (a.s.) like, I (a.s.) can take is as such’’.




حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حُمْرَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: إِنَّا لَنَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ بِهَا سَبْعُونَ وَجْهاً لَنَا مِنْ كُلِّهَا الْمَخْرَجُ.


4. It is narrated to us by Muhammad Bin Isa, from Muhammad Bin Abu Umeyr, from Muhammad Bin Humran, from Muhammad Bin Muslim, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.) having said: ‘We (a.s.) tend to speak with the phrase there being seventy perspectives with it. There is the way out for us (a.s.) from all of these’’.




حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ جَمِيلٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ أَخِي أُدَيْمٍ عَنْ حُمْرَانَ بْنِ أَعْيَنَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: إِنِّي أَتَكَلَّمُ عَلَى سَبْعِينَ وَجْهاً لِي مِنْ كُلِّهَا الْمَخْرَجُ.


5. It is narrated to us by Muhammad Bin Isa, from Muhammad Bin Abu Umeyr, from Jameel, from Ayoub brother of Udeym, from Humran Bin Ayn, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.) having said: ‘I (a.s.) tend to speak upon seventy perspectives, there is the way out for me (a.s.) from all of these’’.




حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنِ الْأَحْوَلِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: أَنْتُمْ أَفْقَهُ النَّاسِ مَا عَرَفْتُمْ مَعَانِيَ كَلَامِنَا إِنَّ كَلَامَنَا لَيَنْصَرِفُ عَلَى سَبْعِينَ وَجْهاً.


6. It is narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Hassan Bin Mahboub, from Al Ahowl, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.) having said: ‘(Although) you (Shias) are the most understanding of the people, you do not understand the meaning of our (a.s.) speech. Our (a.s.) speech is utilised upon seventy perspectives’’.




حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَقُولُ‏ إِنِّي لَأَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ الْوَاحِدَةِ لَهَا سَبْعُونَ وَجْهاً إِنْ شِئْتُ أَخَذْتُ كَذَا.


7. It is narrated to us by Muhammad Bin Isa, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Abdul Kareem Bin Amro, from Abu Baseer who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah (a.s.) saying: ‘I (a.s.) tend to speak with the one phrase having seventy perspectives for it. If I (a.s.) like, I (a.s.) can take it as such’’.




حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مَنْ رَوَاهُ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَمَّنْ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: إِنِّي لَأَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلَامِ يَنْصَرِفُ عَلَى سَبْعِينَ وَجْهاً كُلُّهَا لِي مِنْهُ الْمَخْرَجُ.


8. It is narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from the one who reported it, from Al Husayn Bin Usman, from the one who informed him, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.) having said: ‘I (a.s.) tend to speak with the speech utilised upon seventy perspectives. There is a way out for me (a.s.) from all of it’’.




حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ‏ حُمْرَانَ بْنِ أَعْيَنَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ‏ إِنِّي لَأَتَكَلَّمُ عَلَى سَبْعِينَ وَجْهاً لِي فِي كُلِّهَا الْمَخْرَجُ.


9. It is narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Fazala Bin Ayoub, from Humran Bin Ayn, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.), he (the narrator) said, ‘I heard him (a.s.) saying: ‘I (a.s.) tend to speak upon seventy perspectives, for me (a.s.) is the way out in all of these’’.




حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَقُولُ‏ إِنِّي لَأَتَكَلَّمُ عَلَى سَبْعِينَ وَجْهاً لِي مِنْهَا الْمَخْرَجُ.


10. It is narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Abdul Rahman Bin Abu Najran from Muhammad Bin Muslim who said, ‘Abu Abdullah (a.s.) said: ‘I (a.s.) tend to speak upon seventy perspectives, for me (a.s.) there is a way out from these’’.




حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانٍ الْكَلْبِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع‏ إِنِّي لَأَتَكَلَّمُ عَلَى سَبْعِينَ وَجْهاً مِنْ كُلِّهَا الْمَخْرَجُ.


11. It is narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Fazalat Bin Ayoub, from Umar Bin Aban Al Kalby who said, ‘Abu Abdullah (a.s.) said: ‘I (a.s.) tend to speak upon seventy perspectives, from all of these is the way out’’.




حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ جَبَلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الصَّبَّاحِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَيَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: إِنِّي لَأَتَكَلَّمُ عَلَى سَبْعِينَ وَجْهاً مِنْ كُلِّهَا الْمَخْرَجُ.


12. It is narrated to us by Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ibn Jabala, from Abu Al Sabbah, from Abdul Rahman Bin Sayaba, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.) having said: ‘I (a.s.) tend to speak upon seventy perspectives, from all of these is the way out’’.




حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الصَّبَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: إِنِّي لَأُحَدِّثُ النَّاسَ عَلَى سَبْعِينَ وَجْهاً لِي فِي كُلِّ وَجْهٍ مِنْهَا الْمَخْرَجُ.


13. It is narrated to us by Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from Al Barqy, from Fazalat, from Abu Al Sabbah, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.) having said: ‘I (a.s.) tend to narrate to the people upon seventy perspectives, for me (a.s.), in each perspective from these, is the way out’’.




حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ وَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ جَمِيعاً عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانٍ الْكَلْبِيِّ عَنْ أُدَيْمٍ أَخِي أَيُّوبَ عَنْ حُمْرَانَ بْنِ أَعْيَنَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ‏ إِنِّي لَأَتَكَلَّمُ عَلَى سَبْعِينَ وَجْهاً لِي فِي كُلِّهَا الْمَخْرَجُ.


14. It is narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from fazala Bin Ayoub, and Ali Bin Al Hakam, altogether from Umar Bin Aban Al Kalby, from Udeym brother of Ayoub, from Humran Bin Ayn, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.), he (the narrator) said, ‘I heard him (a.s.) saying: ‘I tend to speak upon seventy perspectives. For me (a.s.), in all of these, is the way out’’.




حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حُمْرَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ‏ إِنِّي أَتَكَلَّمُ عَلَى سَبْعِينَ وَجْهاً لِي مِنْهَا الْمَخْرَجُ.


15. It is narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Abdul Rahman Bin Abu Najran, from Mihammad Bin Humran, from Muhammad Bin Muslim who said, ‘Abu Abdullah (a.s.) said: ‘I (a.s.) speak upon seventy perspectives. For me (a.s.) is the way out from these’’.
