8. Regarding the imams (asws), they (asws) inherited the knowledge from rasool-allah (saww), and from ali bin abu talib (asws), and that the judgment is cast into their (asws) hearts and resonanted in their (asws) ears

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عِمْرَانَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: إِنَّ الْأَرْضَ لَا تُتْرَكُ بِغَيْرِ عَالِمٍ قُلْتُ الَّذِي يَعْلَمُ عَالِمُكُمْ مَا هُوَ قَالَ وِرَاثَةٌ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ مِنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عِلْمٌ يَسْتَغْنِي بِهِ عَنِ النَّاسِ وَ لَا يَسْتَغْنِي النَّاسُ عَنْهُ قُلْتُ وَ حِكْمَةٌ يُقْذَفُ فِي صَدْرِهِ أَوْ يُنْكَتُ فِي أُذُنِهِ قَالَ ذَاكَ وَ ذَاكَ‏.


1. It is narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Barqy, from Al Nazar Bin Suweyd, from Yahya Bin Imran, from Al Haris Bin Al Mugheira, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.) having said: ‘The earth cannot be left without a scholar (a.s.)’. I said, ‘That which your (a.s.) scholar (a.s.) knows, what is it?’ He (a.s.) said: ‘Inheritance from Rasool-Allah (saww) and from Ali (a.s.) Bin Abu Talib (a.s.), knowledge which he (a.s.) becomes needless from the people by it, and the people are not needless from him (a.s.)’. I said, ‘And wisdom, does it get cast into his (a.s.) chest, or resonated in his (a.s.) ears?’ He (a.s.) said: ‘That and that’’.




حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانٍ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ النَّضْرِيِّ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ عِلْمِ عَالِمِكُمْ أَ حِكْمَةٌ تُقْذَفُ فِي صَدْرِهِ أَوْ وِرَاثَةٌ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص أَوْ نَكْتٌ يُنْكَتُ فِي أُذُنِهِ فَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع ذَاكَ وَ ذَاكَ ثُمَّ قَالَ وِرَاثَةٌ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ مِنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ع عِلْمٌ يَسْتَغْنِي بِهِ عَنِ النَّاسِ وَ لَا يَسْتَغْنِي النَّاسُ عَنْهُ‏.


2. It is narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Fazalat Bin Ayoub, from Umar Bin Aban, from Al Haris Al Nazary who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah (a.s.)! Inform me about the knowledge of your (a.s.) scholar (a.s.), it is wisdom cast into his (a.s.) chest, or an inheritance from Rasool-Allah (saww), or a resonance resonating in his (a.s.) ears?’ Abu Abdullah (a.s.) said: ‘That and that’. Then he (a.s.) said: ‘An inheritance from Rasool-Allah (saww) and from Ali (a.s.) Bin Abu Talib (a.s.). Knowledge he (a.s.) becomes needless from the people by it, and the people are not needless from him (a.s.)’’.




حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُوسَى الْخَشَّابِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ: قُلْتُ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ عِلْمِ عَالِمِكُمْ قَالَ وِرَاثَةٌ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ مِنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ع قَالَ قُلْتُ إِنَّا نَتَحَدَّثُ أَنَّهُ يُقْذَفُ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ وَ يُنْكَتُ فِي آذَانِهِمْ قَالَ ذَاكَ وَ ذَاكَ‏.


3. It is narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Hassan Bin Musa Al Khashab, from Ali Bin Ismail, from Safwan, from Al Haris Bin Al Mugheira who said, ‘I said, ‘Inform me about the knowledge of your (a.s.) scholar (a.s.)’. He (a.s.) said: ‘Inheritance from Rasool-Allah (saww) and from Ali (a.s.) Bin Abu Talib (a.s.)’. I said, ‘We are narrating that it gets cast into their (a.s.) hearts, and resonated in their (a.s.) ears’. He (a.s.) said:’ That and that’’.




حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَمَّنْ رَوَاهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ‏ الْأَرْضُ لَا تُتْرَكُ إِلَّا بِعَالِمٍ يَعْلَمُ الْحَلَالَ وَ الْحَرَامَ يَحْتَاجُ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ وَ لَا يَحْتَاجُ إِلَيْهِمْ قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ مَا ذَا قَالَ وِرَاثَةٌ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَ مِنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ع قُلْتُ أَ حِكْمَةٌ تُلْقَى فِي صَدْرِهِ أَوْ شَيْ‏ءٌ يُنْقَرُ فِي أُذُنِهِ قَالَ أَوْ ذَاكَ‏.


4. It is narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Musa Bin Al Qasim, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Aban Bin usman, from the one who reported it, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.), he (the narrator) said, ‘I heard him (a.s.) saying: ‘The earth cannot be left except with a scholar (a.s.) knowing the Permissible(s) and the Prohibitions. The people would be needy to him (a.s.) and he (a.s.) would not be needy to them’. I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for you (a.s.)! What is that?’ He (a.s.) said: ‘Inheritance from Rasool-Allah (saww) and from Ali (a.s.) Bin Abu Talib (a.s.)’. I said, ‘Is it wisdom cast into his (a.s.) chest, or a thing resonating in his (a.s.) ears?’ He (a.s.) said: ‘Or that’’.




حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ نُوحٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: قُلْتُ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ عِلْمِ عَالِمِكُمْ قَالَ وِرَاثَةٌ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ مِنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ع قَالَ قُلْتُ إِنَّا نَتَحَدَّثُ أَنَّهُ يُقْذَفُ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ وَ يُنْكَتُ فِي آذَانِهِمْ قَالَ ذَاكَ وَ ذَاكَ‏.


5. It is narrated to us by Ayoub Bin Nuh, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Al Haris, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.), he (the narrator) said, ‘Inform me about the knowledge of your (a.s.) scholar (a.s.)’. He (a.s.) said: ‘An inheritance from Rasool-Allah (saww) and from Ali (a.s.) Bin Abu Talib’. He (the narrator) said, ‘I said, ‘We are narrating that it tends to be cast into their (a.s.) hearts, and resonated in their ears’. He (a.s.) said: ‘That and that’’.




حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي كَهْمَشٍ عَنِ الْحَرْثِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع أَنَّهُ قَالَ: من [لَنْ‏] يَهْلِكَ مِنَّا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ عَالِمٌ حَتَّى يَرَى مَنْ يُخَلِّفُهُ يَعْلَمُ مِثْلَ عِلْمِهِ أَوْ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ مَا هَذَا الْعِلْمُ قَالَ وِرَاثَةٌ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ مِنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ع يَسْتَغْنِي عَنِ النَّاسِ وَ لَا يَسْتَغْنِي النَّاسُ عَنْهُ.


6. It is narrated to us by Ibrahim Bin Hashim, from Al Hassan Bin Ali Bin Fazzal, from Ali Bin Uqba, from Abu Kahmash, from Al Hars Bin Al Mugheira, ‘From Abu Ja’far (a.s.) having said: ‘A scholar (a.s.) from us (a.s.), People (a.s.) of the Household, will never pass away until he (a.s.) sees the one (a.s.) who would replace him (a.s.), knowing similar to his (a.s.) knowledge, or whatever Allah (azwj) so Desires’. He (the narrator) said, ‘I said, ‘What is this knowledge?’ He (a.s.) said: ‘An inheritance from Rasool-Allah (saww) and from Ali (a.s.) Bin Abu Talib (a.s.). He (a.s.) is needless from the people and the people are not needless from him (a.s.)’’.




حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَتْرُكُ الْأَرْضَ بِغَيْرِ عَالِمٍ يَحْتَاجُ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ وَ لَا يَحْتَاجُ إِلَيْهِمْ يَعْلَمُ الْحَلَالَ وَ الْحَرَامَ فَقُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ بِمَا ذَا يَعْلَمُ قَالَ وِرَاثَةٌ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ع.


7. It is narrated to us by Ibrahim, from Yahya Bin Abu Imran, from Yunus, from a man who said, ‘I heard him (a.s.) saying ‘Allah (azwj) does not leave the earth without a scholar the people being needy to him (a.s.) and he (a.s.) not being needy to them. He (a.s.) would know the Permissible(s) and the Prohibitions’. I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for you (a.s.)! What is that by which he (a.s.) knows?’ He (a.s.) said: ‘An inheritance from Rasool-Allah (saww) and Ali (a.s.) Bin Abu Talib (a.s.)’’.




حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنِ الْحَرْثِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ النَّضْرِيِّ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عِلْمُ عَالِمِكُمْ أَيُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ وَجْهُهُ قَالَ وِرَاثَةٌ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ‏ ص وَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ع يَحْتَاجُ النَّاسُ إِلَيْنَا وَ لَا يحتاج [نَحْتَاجُ‏] إِلَيْهِمْ.


8. It is narrated to us by Muhammad Bin Abdul Hameed, from Yunus Bin Yaqoub, from Al Hars Bin Al Mugheira Al Nazry who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah (a.s.), ‘Knowledge of your (a.s.) scholars (a.s.), which thing is its aspect?’ He (a.s.) said: ‘An inheritance from Rasool-Allah (saww) and Ali (a.s.) Bin Abu Talib (a.s.). The people are needy to us (a.s.) and we (a.s.) are not needy to them’’.




حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ عَنِ الْمُفَضَّلِ عَنِ الْحَرْثِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: قُلْتُ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ عِلْمِ عَالِمِكُمْ قَالَ وِرَاثَةٌ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ مِنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ع فَقُلْتُ إِنَّا نَتَحَدَّثُ أَنَّهُ يُقْذَفُ فِي قَلْبِهِ أَوْ يُنْكَتُ فِي أُذُنِهِ فَقَالَ أَوْ ذَاكَ.


9. It is narrated to us by Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Ja’far Bin Bashir, from Al Mufazzal, from Al Hars, ‘From Abu Abdullah (a.s.), he (the narrator) said, ‘I said, ‘Inform me about knowledge of your (a.s.) scholars (a.s.)’. He (a.s.) said: ‘An inheritance from Rasool-Allah (saww) and from Ali Bin Abu Talib (a.s.)’. I said, ‘We (a.s.) are narrating that it is cast into his (a.s.) heart, or resonated in his (a.s.) ears’. He (a.s.) said: ‘Or that’’.
