حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْخَشَّابِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جُنْدَبٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْأَزْرَقِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَحْكَمُ وَ أَكْرَمُ وَ أَجَلُّ وَ أَعْظَمُ وَ أَعْدَلُ مِنْ أَنْ يَحْتَجَّ بِحُجَّةٍ ثُمَّ يُغَيِّبُ عَنْهُ شَيْئاً مِنْ أُمُورِهِمْ‏.


1. It is narrated to us by Abdullah Bin Muhammad, from Al Khashab, from Abdullah Bin Jundab, from Ali Bin Ismail Al Arzaq who said, ‘Abu Abdullah (a.s.) said: ‘Allah (azwj) is Wiser, and more Benevolent, and more Majestic, and more Magnificent, and more Just than for Him (azwj) to Argue by His (azwj) Divine Authority, then Hide from him (a.s.) something of their matters’’




حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنِ اللُّؤْلُؤِيِّ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي فَرْوَةَ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْأَصْبَغِ قَالَ: كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع جَالِساً إِذْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ الْكَرْخِيُّ فَسَأَلَ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنْ شَيْ‏ءٍ فَأَجَابَهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فَقَالَ لَهُ لَيْسَ كَذَلِكَ فَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع هُوَ كَذَلِكَ وَ رَدَّهَا عَلَيْهِ مِرَاراً كُلَّ ذَلِكَ يَقُولُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع هُوَ كَذَلِكَ وَ يَقُولَ هُوَ لَا فَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع أَ تَرَى مَنْ جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ حُجَّةً عَلَى خَلْقِهِ يَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ شَيْ‏ءٌ مِنْ أُمُورِهِمْ‏.


2. It is narrated to us by Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from A lLuluie, from Ismail Bin Abu Farouq, from Sa’ad Bin Abu Al Asbagh who said, ‘I was seated in the presence of Abu Abdullah (a.s.) when Al-Hassan Bin Al-Sary Al-Karkhy entered to see him (a.s.) and asked Abu Abdullah (a.s.) about something. Abu Abdullah (a.s.) answered him. He said to him (a.s.), ‘It isn’t like that’. Abu Abdullah (a.s.) said: ‘It is like that’, and he repeated to him (a.s.) repeatedly, during all that Abu Abdullah (a.s.) said: ‘It is like that’, and he was saying it is not. Abu Abdullah (a.s.) said: ‘Do you see the one whom Allah (azwj) Made to be His (azwj) Divine Authority upon His (azwj) creatures, He (azwj) would Hide from him (a.s.) anything from their matters?’’




حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع بِمِنًى عَنْ خَمْسِمِائَةِ حَرْفٍ مِنَ الْكَلَامِ فَأَقْبَلْتُ أَقُولُ كَذَا وَ كَذَا يَقُولُونَ فَيَقُولُ لِي قُلْ كَذَا وَ كَذَا فَقُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ هَذَا الْحَلَالُ وَ الْحَرَامُ وَ الْقُرْآنُ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ صَاحِبُهُ وَ أَعْلَمُ النَّاسِ بِهِ وَ هَذَا هُوَ الْكَلَامُ فَقَالَ لِي وَ تَشُكُّ يَا هِشَامُ مَنْ شَكَّ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَحْتَجُّ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ بِحُجَّةٍ لَا يَكُونُ عِنْدَهُ كُلُّ مَا يَحْتَاجُونَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَدِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ‏.


3. It is narrated to us by Ibrahim Bin Hashim, from Ali Bin Ma’bad, from Hisham Bin Al Hakam who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah (a.s.) at Mina about five hundred letter from the speech. I went on to say, ‘They are saying such and such’, and he (a.s.) said: ‘Say such and such’. I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for you (a.s.)! This is the Permissible and the Prohibition, and the Quran. I know that you (a.s.) are its Master, and the people know of it, and this, it is the speech’. He (a.s.) said to me: ‘And you are doubting, O Hisham? One who doubts that Allah (azwj) Argued upon His (azwj) creatures by a Divine Authority, there does not happen to be with him (a.s.) all what they would be arguing to him (a.s.), so he has fabricated upon Allah (azwj)’’.




حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع‏ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَحْتَجُّ بِعَبْدٍ فِي بِلَادِهِ ثُمَّ يَسْتُرُ عَنْهُ جَمِيعَ مَا يَحْتَاجُ إِلَيْهِ فَقَدِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ‏.


4. It is narrated to us by Ali Bin Ismail, from Hammad Bin Isa, from Ibrahim Bin Umar who said, Abu Abdullah (a.s.) said: ‘One who claims that Allah (azwj) Argues with a servant in His (azwj) City, then Veil from him (a.s.) the entirety of what they could be needy to him (a.s.) for, so he has fabricated upon Allah (azwj)’’.
