He (a.s.) said: ‘its roots are stable and its branches are in the sky [14:24]. Rasool-Allah (saww) is its root, and Ali (a.s.) is its peak, and the Imams (a.s.) are its branches, and their (a.s.) Shias are its leaves’. He (the narrator) said, ‘I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for you (a.s.)! So, what is the meaning of ‘Al-Muntaha’?’ He (a.s.) said: ‘By Allah ! The Religion ends to it. One who does not happen to be from the tree, so he isn’t a Momin, and he isn’t a Shia of ours’’.

3. It is narrated to us by Ibrahim Bin Hashim, from Amro Bin Usman Al Khazaz, from Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad, from Umar Bin Yazeed who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah (a.s.) about Words of Allah the Exalted: its roots are stable and its branches are in the sky [14:24]. He (a.s.) said: ‘Rasool-Allah (saww) is its roots, and Amir Al-Momineen (a.s.) its peak, and (Syeda) Fatima (a.s.) its main branch (trunk), and the Imams (a.s.) from her (a.s.) offspring are its branches, and knowledge of the Imams (a.s.) are its fruits, and their (a.s.) Shias are its leaves. So, do you see any extra among them?’ I said, ‘No’. He (a.s.) said: ‘By Allah ! The Momin dies, so a leaf falls from that tree, and he is born, so a leaf sprouts in it’. I said, ‘Yielding its fruit in every season by the permission of its Lord? [14:25]’. He (a.s.) said: ‘What comes out to the people from knowledge of the Imam (a.s.) during every season he (a.s.) is asked about’’.
