1. Ali Bin Ahmad Bin Muhammad narrated to us, from Muhammad Bin Abu Abdullah Al Kufy, from Muhammad Bin Ismail Al Barmakky, from Ali Bin Al Abbas, from Umar Bin Abdul Aziz, from Hisham Bin Al Hakam who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah (a.s.), so I said, ‘What is the reason with regards to the middle of the palm, that the hair does not grow upon it, and it grows upon its back?’ So he (a.s.) said: ‘For two reasons – As for one of these two, so it is because the people who are working upon the land which they trample upon and frequently walk upon it, there does not grow anything in it. And the other reason - it is because it has been Made to which from the doors by which the things meet up, so it has been left and the hair does not grow upon it in order to sense the hard from the soft, and the coarse. The hair does not cover it from sensing the things, and the remaining of the people would not happen except upon that’.
